How the comparison works
Energy shortfall = max(required Energy − available Energy, 0). Burning cost = shortfall × sun per Energy ÷ 1,000,000. The rental column selects the least expensive single listed package that covers that shortfall. It does not combine separate packages into an unlisted payment amount.
Example: 65,000 × 100 ÷ 1,000,000 = 6.5 TRX. A 2 TRX package is 4.5 TRX less: 4.5 ÷ 6.5 × 100 ≈ 69.2%. For 131,000 Energy the listed 4 TRX package is selected, rather than rounding up to three 65,000-Energy packages.
What is excluded?
This compares Energy costs only. It excludes the TRX payment transaction, Bandwidth, account activation, permission-related fees and other possible costs. Available Bandwidth, free Bandwidth and burning have their own settlement rules; do not subtract Energy savings from an unrelated full transaction quote. The package must arrive and remain usable for the intended transaction within its one-hour window.
Verify the inputs before paying
Use the sending wallet’s current estimate. Actual Energy use can change with contract state and dynamic Energy rules. A package does not guarantee a fixed number of transfers. The calculator does not submit payments or verify delivery.
